IceDogs Hit the Road to Take on the Petes
Tonight, the IceDogs hit the road to take on the Peterborough Petes, in a game commemorating their 60th Anniversary. In honour of the Petes’ anniversary, the IceDogs will be sporting their commemorative TeePees jerseys, first worn earlier this season against the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Two players to keep an eye on tonight would be Ben Jones and Steven Lorentz. They both have been heating up on the scoresheet as of late, and it’s been helping their teams get all important early-season points. They are also both natives of Waterloo, ON. Jones, a draft eligible centre, is coming off of what was likely his best game of the season on Friday night – collecting two assists, winning majority of the faceoffs he took improving his season face off wins average to over .500, an improvement from last season. Lorentz, a Carolina Hurricanes prospect, with 4 points in his last 4 games, is known for being a physical force. Jones’ accurate shot, vision and high level of compete will be important for the IceDogs in collecting the win tonight
Tonight’s game will be broadcasted live on Cogeco TV Niagara (Channel 10 or 700HD) and on 610 CKTB, the IceDogs radio network.
