PEARSON’S FIVE GOALS NET HIM PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOURS
The Barrie Colts announced on Monday that forward Tanner Pearson has been named the Ontario Hockey League Player of the Week for the week ending September 25th. On Tuesday the Canadian Hockey League announced that he has also been named the CHL Player of the Week.
Pearson and the Colts went 2-0 to start the season with a 7-4 home-ice win on Thursday against Kingston and a 3-1 win in Brampton Friday night.
Pearson has scored half of Barrie’s ten goals including all three Friday night in Brampton as the Kitchener native recorded his first career hat-trick.
One night previously the 6’0” winger had two goals and three assists to lead the Colts to a win in their season opener.
Through just two games Pearson and his line mates Zach Hall and Colin Behenna have combined for eight goals and 20 points.
Pearson and the Colts will play three games in three nights this week starting on Thursday against Owen Sound. On Friday they play at Niagara and on Saturday they host Peterborough.
