PEARSON NAMED TO OHL’S SECOND ALL STAR TEAM
Barrie Colts forward Tanner Pearson has been named to the 2012 OHL All-Star second team.
Pearson finished third in league scoring last season behind Michael Sgarbossa and Tyler Toffoli with 37 goals and 91 points in 60 games played.
Sgarbossa and Toffoli each made the first team and were joined by winger Brandon Saad of the Saginaw Spirit.
Ottawa’s Sean Monahan and London’s Seth Griffith join Pearson on the second team, with defencemen Ryan Murphy, Cody Ceci and goalie Mark Visentin.

NHL Central Scouting has Pearson ranked as the 25th best North American skater for this June’s NHL Entry Draft.
The Kitchener native played in the Subway Super Series, the Home Hardware Top Prospects Game and the 2012 World Junior Championship, while leading the Colts to the most-improved record in the CHL.
