EDMONTON INKS HUNTER TREMBLAY
Former Barrie Colt Hunter Tremblay has been signed to a one-year contract by the Edmonton Oilers.
Tremblay starred at the University of New Brunswick for the past four years after concluding a five-year junior career with the Barrie Colts.
The native of Timmins, Ontario posted 22 goals and 22 assists to lead his team in scoring last year and will join a very young Oilers squad.
The 5’11”, 200-pound winger was named the CIS Player of the Year in 2010 for collecting 25 goals and 32 assists in just 27 games. Tremblay led UNB to a 27-1-0 record.
The 25-year old played five seasons with the Colts and collected 284 points in 317 games played. His best season with the club was in 2005-06 when he posted 31 goals and 46 assists for 77 points in 68 games playing along side Bryan Little.
