Barrie Colts Announce 2014 Training Camp Schedule

Barrie, ON– The Barrie Colts have announced the details pertaining to their 20^th Anniversary season training camp which will take place at the Barrie Molson Centre beginning Monday, August 25^th.

Colts players, prospects and tryouts will split into four teams as they participate in several scrimmages during camp. Training Camp will kick off on Monday with fitness testing before getting into on-ice sessions on Tuesday. The camp roster will be made available on Tuesday morning.

The annual Blue and White game will take place on Thursday, August 28^th at 7:30 p.m.

This year’s training camp will include 2014 first round pick Givani Smith, defenceman Rasmus Andersson who was selected in the 2014 Import draft, recently signed forward Roy Radke and NHL prospects Brendan Lemieux and Kevin Labanc.

TRAINING CAMP SCHEDULE:

Tuesday, August 26^th                       -Scrimmages from 9:30-11:45 a.m. and 1:00-3:15 p.m.  Wednesday, August 27^th                   -Scrimmages from 9:30-11:45 a.m. and 1:00-3:15 p.m.
Thursday, August 28^th                       -Practices from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.                                      
Thursday, August 28^th                    -Blue and White Game at 7:30 p.m.                                         Friday, August 29^h                            -Practice from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.        

All practice sessions, scrimmages and the Blue and White game are free to attend.

The 2014 Barrie Colts begin exhibition play with a Labour Day weekend home and home series with Owen Sound Attack.
