Hunter Haight Drafted by Minnesota!
Colts forward, Hunter Haight, didn’t have to wait long to hear his name called on the second day of the NHL Draft in Montreal.
Surrounded by 10+ family & friends, Haight was chosen by the Minnesota Wild with the 47th selection in the draft.
Haight becomes the first Barrie Colt drafted by the Wild since Eric Reitz was chosen 170th overall in the 2000 NHL Draft. Haight was the sixth OHL player drafted over the two days.
“When I was at the combine, I had a really good conversation with them during my interview and I felt really comfortable with them.” Added newly drafted Minnesota Wild Prospect, Hunter Haight.

We’re extremely proud to watch him go through this with Minnesota and we’re looking forward to this upcoming season as he will be a key contributor to our team.” Added Head Coach & GM, Marty Williamson.
