Nizhnikov, 16, was the 7th overall pick in this past 2016 OHL Selection Draft after spending last season with the Toronto Jr. Canadians where he scored 23 goals and 37 points in 27 games played. The 6-foot-1, 183-pound right-winger from Moscow, Russia also performed well at the 2016 OHL Cup recording 3 goals and 5 assists in 6 games.
Barrie will continue their pre-season schedule tomorrow night as they host the Owen Sound Attack at the Barrie Molson Centre.
