Game Week: 67’s Hit the Road Before Hosting Erie
The Ottawa 67’s are set for another two-game weekend, beginning with a trip to Oshawa on Friday night to face the Generals before returning to TD Place on Saturday afternoon to host the Erie Otters.
The Barber Poles enter the week looking to bounce back from Sunday’s Home Opener against the Sarnia Sting. After falling 4-3 in overtime to the Kingston Frontenacs in their season opener, Ottawa picked up its first win of the 2026-27 campaign on Saturday with a 6-3 victory over the Peterborough Petes. The 67s returned to the capital less than 24 hours later but lost 10-3 to Sarnia. Ottawa will look to get back in the win column this weekend, beginning with a familiar opponent in Oshawa before welcoming Erie for the first time this season.
Friday, October 2 | at Oshawa Generals
7:05 p.m. ET | Tribute Communities Centre
The 67’s head to Oshawa on Friday night for their first meeting with the Generals of the 2026-27 season. Ottawa enjoyed success against Oshawa last year, finishing the eight-game series with a 7-1-0-0 record, including one shootout victory.
Friday marks Ottawa’s first visit to Tribute Communities Centre since the final game of the 2025-26 regular season, when the Generals earned a 4-3 victory on March 21. Over the past five seasons, the Barber Poles have posted a 9-6-1-0 road record against Oshawa.
The Generals enter the week with three wins through their first five games, most recently falling 5-3 to the Brantford Bulldogs on September 27. Their roster features two NHL draft picks, including Vancouver Canucks prospect Brooks Rogowski, selected 33rd overall in the 2026 NHL Draft, and Colorado Avalanche prospect Linus Funk, who joined Oshawa following a trade from the London Knights.
David Bedkowski | Ottawa 67’s
Friday’s matchup marks Ottawa overage defenceman David Bedkowski’s return to Oshawa, where he will face his former club. Originally selected by the Generals in the second round of the 2022 OHL Priority Selection, Bedkowski appeared in 125 games with Oshawa before being traded to the Owen Sound Attack during the 2024-25 season.
Brady Blaseg and Jaeden Cholette | Oshawa Generals
The Generals feature two players with ties to the Ottawa region: defenceman Brady Blaseg, a Kanata native and Gloucester native, and goaltender Jaeden Cholette. Both could face their hometown team on Friday night.

Saturday, October 3 | vs. Erie Otters
3:00 p.m. ET | The Arena at TD Place
The 67’s return to TD Place on Saturday afternoon to welcome the Erie Otters for the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. Ottawa swept last season’s series against Erie, earning a 4-1 victory at home on October 4 before picking up a 5-2 road win on November 7.
The Otters enter their 30th season in the Ontario Hockey League following a strong opening weekend. Erie began its campaign with a 5-1 victory over the Memorial Cup-hosting Guelph Storm before splitting a pair of games against the Kitchener Rangers, earning a win in the first matchup and an overtime loss in the second. Before travelling to Ottawa, the Otters will visit the Peterborough Petes on Thursday night.
Erie’s roster features Chicago Blackhawks prospect Henri Ty and Los Angeles Kings prospect Lucas Ambrosio. Forwards Michael Dec and Luka Arkko also attended the Detroit Red Wings’ camp ahead of the season.
Filip Ekberg | Ottawa 67’s
Despite Ottawa’s 10-3 loss to the Sarnia Sting in Sunday’s Home Opener, Filip Ekberg delivered a standout performance, scoring all three of the 67’s goals to record his first career OHL hat trick. The Carolina Hurricanes prospect will look to carry that momentum into this weekend’s matchups.
David Egorov | Erie Otters
Saturday’s matchup could mark a homecoming for Ottawa native and Erie overage goaltender David Egorov. The netminder has appeared in all three of the Otters’ games this season, posting a 2-0-1-0 record, a 2.65 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage. Now in his final season of OHL eligibility, Egorov could play in front of his hometown crowd one last time this weekend.
