LHJAAAQ loses pioneer

BOUCHERVILLE, Thursday, September 11, 2008 The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League is in morning today as one of the pioneers of the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League (LHJAAAQ), Mr. Jean Hébert, has passed away. Mr. Hébert had been with the League since its inception in 1988. Most recently, he occupied the position of Vice-President, Hockey.

"We are very saddened by this news," commented the Commissioner of the QMJHL, Gilles Courteau. "Jean Hébert was one of the pillars of the LHJAAAQ and he contributed countless hours to its success. His dedication and passion were second to none. He will be sorely missed. I’d like to take this opportunity to offer my condolences to his entire family and friends."
