Mario Durocher joins Screaming Eagles’ coaching staff

CAPE BRETON, Thursday, August 10, 2006 (QMJHL) The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles officially announced today the hiring of Mario Durocher as their assistant coach for next season.

Durocher has extensive experience in the coaching ranks, having already worked behind the benches of the Victoriaville Tigres, the Sherbrooke Castors/Lewiston MAINEiacs, the Acadie-Bathurst Titan and as an assistant with the Gatineau Olympiques last year.

Furthermore, while an assistant coach in 2003 and then as a head coach in 2004, he helped Team Canada win two consecutive silver medals at the world junior hockey championship.
