Sea Dogs looking to remain ahead on the standings against the Wildcats
Last weekend, the Saint John Sea Dogs took away first place from the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, with a 6-3 win over the Gatineau Olympiques. This victory was Saint John’s eighth win in their last 10 games, with one shootout loss. With a 19-7-2-1 record, good for 41 points, the Sea Dogs are tied with the Armada and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. The fact that they have one more victory than the Huskies and more goals scored than the Armada, makes them no.1 in the standings. Since the beginning of the season, they scored 119 goals (4.1 goals/per game, 4th in QMJHL) and allowed 83 goals (2.8 goals/per game, 5th lowest in QMJHL) to opposing teams. Their power-play stands at 28.6% (2nd in QMHJL) and a 84.3% (1st in QMJHL) efficiency shorthanded.
