17 QMJHL players drafted into NHL

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League is proud to announce that 17 of its players were selected in the seven rounds of the NHL Draft. In total, 95 players from the Canadian Hockey League were selected. The Columbus Blue Jackets (Julien Pelletier and OlivierLeblanc), Colorado Avalanche (Alexis Pepin and Julien Nantel) and St. Louis Blues (Ivan Barbashev and Samuel Blais) each selected two players from the QMJHL. The team that had the most players selected was the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.

Of the 95 players selected, the OHL led the way with 41 players while the WHL had 37 players selected.
