Sags shut down Wildcats 3-0 in series opener
Goaltender Remi Delafontaine made 39 saves leading Chicoutimi over the Wildcats 3-0 before 3,600 fans to open the QMJHL Playoffs at the Avenir Centre on Good Friday.
Emile Duquet paced the Sagueneens with two goals, including an empty-netter, while Craig Armstrong had the other. Moncton outshot the Sags 39-29 and the league’s #1 powerplay was 0 for 5 in Game 1.

The Wildcats look to even the series Saturday night at 7pm with Game two at the Avenir Center.
