Wildcats eliminated by Chicoutimi with game 4 loss
The Chicoutimi Saguenéens completed their 4-game playoff series sweep, downing the Wildcats 5-2 at the Centre Georges-Vezina Wednesday night in Chicoutimi.
The Cats held a 2-1 first period lead on goals by Caleb Desnoyers and Yoan Loshing. Ales Zielinski chipped in with two assists.
Chicoutimi’s powerplay produced two more goals — six in three games — as the Sags tied the contest in the second period and pulled away in the third.

The game was the final QMJHL contest for 20 year-olds Olivier Boutin, Connor Trenholm and Oscar Plandowski. Star forward Miles Müller will turn pro and play next season in his native Switzerland.
The Cats will host a Fan Farewell event Friday, April 5 from 5:30-7pm at the Lounsbury Lounge, Avenir Centre. Fans are welcome to come say good-bye and grab some photos & autographs.
The Wildcats will also host to the 2024 QMJHL Annual Entry Draft in June at the Avenir Centre. The event is free to the public.
