Defenceman Jack Wieringa Released
MONCTON N.B. – The Moncton Wildcats have released defenceman Jack Wieringa.
Born in Woodstock Ontario, the 19-year-old joined the Wildcats this season after playing in the GOJHL last year with the Stratford Warriors. Appearing in 16 games for Moncton this year, due to his age, Jack will now be placed on league waivers.
“Jack was a great player for us, we want to thank him for his time here and wish him nothing but the best in the future” said Director of Hockey Operations, Roger Shannon.
Goaltender Alec MacDonald has also been reassigned to the Truro Bearcats. We want to thank Alec for helping us during Matthew Waite’s injury and wish him all the best with Truro.
The Wildcats are back in action tonight against the Charlottetown Islanders at 7:00 p.m. and again tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. vs. the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. For tickets call 857-4100!
