Titan make trio of deals as summer trading period opens
BATHURST – The Acadie-Bathurst Titan have completed three trades at the start of the summer trading period, General Manager Sylvain Couturier announced today.
Forward Nicolas Kingsbury-Fournier has been traded to the Victoriaville Tigres along with a 2021 seventh-round pick for forward Olivier Pouliot and a 2021 sixth-round pick. Kingsbury-Fournier, 18, had nine points in 35 games this season before suffering a shoulder injury that required surgery. Pouliot, 19, played 14 games with the Tigres totaling five points.
The Titan have also acquired 19-year-old goaltender Tommy Da Silva from the Gatineau Olympiques in exchange for defenceman Zachary Racicot. Da Silva, a former second-round pick of the Cape Breton Eagles, posted a .868 save percentage and 5.02 goals-against-average in five games with the Olympiques this season. Racicot appeared in just 23 games for the Titan this season and did not register a point.
As well, the team has traded 19-year-old forward Cole Stewart to the Chicoutimi Sagueneens for a 2022 sixth-round pick. Stewart had two points in 13 games after being acquired from the Halifax Mooseheads during the winter trading period.
