Titan Golf Tournament Back in Full Swing
Your Acadie-Bathurst Titan are excited to announce the annual Titan Golf Classic is back on the green this summer! The classic is a partnership between and fundraiser for the Acadie-Bathurst Titan Foundation, Bathurst Minor Hockey Association, and the U18 Contendo Northern Moose.
Various teams from around the region will tee-off on the highly anticipated tournament Friday, July 21 at the beautiful Gowan Brae Golf & Country Club in Bathurst. This 2023 tournament – the first one since the pandemic – promises to be one of our best years yet!
There will be a shotgun start at 1 p.m, with more than 30 different businesses, groups, sponsors and members of the community enjoying the afternoon with 18-holes of golf. Businesses have generously stepped-up to sponsor different holes around the course, and participants have the chance to sample great food, enjoy a taste of the region thanks to our local breweries, or win any number of prizes!
As always there will be members of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan hockey staff and players attending the tournament. However, this year promises a surprise twist! We have a number of prestigious alumni who will compete in the classic this summer. Each team will have the opportunity to have their names randomly drawn to have a current or former Titan round out their team as the fifth player. Some of the notable alumni hitting the links with us this summer include but are not limited to New York Islanders defenceman Noah Dobson, San Jose Barracuda’s Jeffrey Viel, Seattle Kraken’s Prospect Jacob Melanson, St. Louis Blues Prospect Marc-Andre Gaudet, Adam Holwell of the ECHL’s Newfoundland Growlers and more members of the 2018 Memorial Cup championship team.
Following an afternoon of golfing, we will host a dinner and auction at the club house. Like previous years, our auction will include but isn’t limited to autographed NHL paraphernalia and more.
We have a number of teams on board already, and space is limited. If your group would like to attend our fundraiser, please contact Titan Foundation & Communications Coordinator Bryannah James at [email protected] or at 506-549-3229.
We can’t wait to see everyone on the course!
GO TITAN GO!
