Jérémie Minville named Assistant Captain
GATINEAU – Gatineau Olympiques general manager Serge Beausoleil announced Tuesday the nomination of Jérémie Minville as assistant captain. The decision was taken jointly with head coach Benoit Desrosiers.
Minville, a 19-year-old, leads the team in scoring with 17 goals, 18 assists and 35 points in 68 games. The Drummondville-born forward has also set personal career highs so far this season.
“I feel very honoured and privileged by this nomination. I’m privileged to play for the Olympiques. It’s a first-class organization,” explains Jérémie Minville.
“Jérémie has shown since the start of the season that he’s 100% committed to the team. His work ethic is exemplary night after night. It’s a well-deserved nomination,” says head coach Benoit Desrosiers.
The Olympiques’ leadership group is not yet complete. Announcements will follow in the coming weeks.
