Mooseheads trade forward Caylen Blake to Chicoutmi

The Halifax Mooseheads completed a trade on Wednesday to send 18-year-old forward Caylen Blake to the Chicoutimi Sagueneens in exchange for a ninth round pick in 2029’s QMJHL Entry Draft.
Blake played two seasons in Halifax, appearing in 120 regular season games and scoring 46 career points. He had 12 goals and 15 assists last season in his sophomore year with the club. The Corner Brook, NL native was originally selected in the second round, 34th overall in the 2024 QMJHL Entry Draft.
2026 GoodLife Fitness Mooseheads Training Camp opened on Wednesday in Dartmouth and will continue on Thursday with intrasquad action at 10am and 3pm. The team will play the preseason opener on Friday at 7pm at Dalhousie University’s Oulton-Stanish Centre against the Cape Breton Eagles. Tickets are on sale now.
