Islanders Release 2016-17 Regular Season Schedule
The Charlottetown Islanders released their full 68-game schedule today, which consists of twelve Friday night, eight Saturday night and five Sunday afternoon home games.
The Islanders will open their 2016-2017 season Friday, September 23rd, when they take on the Saint John Sea Dogs at the Eastlink Centre.
The season-opening weekend continues on Sunday, September 25th, as the Islanders travel to Moncton for their first meeting of the season against the Wildcats.
“We are looking forward to what should be an exciting year of Islanders hockey here in Charlottetown,” said Islanders General Manager and Head Coach Jim Hulton. “We are very happy with how things went this past weekend at the draft and are looking to keep that momentum going straight into training camp.”

Of note, the Moncton Wildcats visit Charlottetown for a Thanksgiving matinee the first time on Monday, October 10th with a 3PM start time. Defending President Cup champion Rouyan Noranda Huskies visit Charlottetown on Friday, December 2nd.
The team’s final home game is Saturday, March 18th, against the Acadie Bathurst Titan.
