Charlottetown Islanders and Coach Atlantic Group look to fill a bus with teddy bears
December is here and the Charlottetown Islanders and Coach Atlantic Group have teamed up to help bring some happiness to Island children this Christmas.
Join the Islanders and Coach Atlantic Group on Friday, December 16th at 7pm at the Eastlink Centre when the Charlottetown Islanders take on the Moncton Wildcats during the annual Teddy Bear Toss.
When the Islanders score their first goal of the game, fans will toss their teddy bears onto the ice surface. All bears collected will be donated to local children’s charities for Christmas.
Fans are encouraged to bring their own teddy bear, or drop it off at the Coach Atlantic Group office at 7 Mount Edward Road (Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm) from now until December 16th.
Along with the drop-off at the Coach Atlantic Group terminal at 7 Mt. Edward Road, you can also drop-off at the Charlottetown Flea Market (161 St. Peter’s Rd, Sherwood Shopping Centre) on Sunday Nov. 27th and Dec. 4th between 9am and 2pm.
“Coach Atlantic Group is proud to support the Islanders as they make this Christmas a brighter one for the children in our community”, states Marsha Doiron, VP Marketing and Development.
Jason MacLean is the director of Sales and Marketing. He and the entire organization have big expectations for this year’s teddy bear toss.
“This is a great tradition across the Canadian Hockey League. We’d like to set the standard across the QMJHL and partnering with Atlantic Bus will help us do that.”
After all the teddy bears are collected on December 16th at the Islanders game, they will be donated to local children’s charities.
