Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League (CHL) is pleased to announce a renewed strategic partnership with Cooper Tire for the 2014-2015 season.
Cooper Tire will continue to be recognized as the “Official Tire of the Canadian Hockey League,” and maintain a strong presence at each of the CHL National Events as an associate partner of the SUBWAY® Super Series, the BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, and the MasterCard Memorial Cup.
Cooper Tire is continuing to find ways to connect with Canadian consumers, and is using this partnership to help support the company’s brand expansion into the Canadian market. The partnership between the Canadian Hockey League and Cooper Tire marks a strategic alignment between the familiar hockey road trips that every hockey parent knows all too well and Cooper Tire’s commitment to prepare Canadians with quality tires for their everyday road trips. In partnership with its existing dealer network, Cooper Tire is utilizing the CHL to penetrate further into the Canadian marketplace and reach consumers that need quality crafted tires that can stand the test against rugged Canadian terrain and harsh Canadian winters.
“After our successful and highly visible first year sponsorship with the CHL, we are happy to not only renew our sponsorship of this strong Canadian franchise, but we have increased our commitment to the league, moving to an even higher, more visible sponsorship level,” said Mike Simon, Vice President of Marketing at Cooper Tire. “We look forward to another strong year in this growing relationship.”
“The Canadian Hockey League is proud to renew its partnership with Cooper Tire as an associate partner, a brand trusted by many Canadians,” said CHL President, David Branch. “Cooper’s commitment to safety and performance is a value shared by the CHL; we look forward to developing exciting programs together.”
Fans will see Cooper Tire integrated into TVA Sports, on all 54 broadcasts, for the first time with extensive commercial programming as well as their “Road Warriors” feature. Cooper Tire will also be back on Sportsnet for all 60 Broadcast games. The company will also have a major presence on Friday Night Hockey and be integrated into the new “Hometown Hockey” feature on Sunday afternoon broadcasts starting this month.
