CHL Playoffs on Sportsnet features LDN vs GUE on Friday
TORONTO (April 1, 2014) Sportsnet’s coverage of the 2014 Canadian Hockey League playoffs continues this week on Friday Night Hockey as the Guelph Storm host the London Knights in Game 1 of the Ontario Hockey League Western Conference semifinal series on Friday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT on Sportsnet ONE.
The London Knights, hosts of the 2014 MasterCard Memorial Cup, come into the series following a four-game sweep of the Windsor Spitfires in the quarter-final round. The Guelph Storm also emerged victorious in the first round of the playoffs, with a 4-1 series win over the Plymouth Whalers. Friday’s matchup will set the stage for what is sure to be a close battle between the top ranked Storm and the fourth place Knights.
This week’s Friday Night Hockey playoff broadcast features host Rob Faulds in-studio alongside guest analyst and Kitchener Rangers head coach Troy Smith. Play-by-play announcer RJ Broadhead and analyst Sam Cosentino call the game from the heart of the action at Sleeman Centre.
