CHL Game of the Week
Cody Hodgson and the Ontario Hockey League’s Brampton Battalion will host the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors live on Rogers Sportsnet Sunday April 5, 2009, at 2:00pm.

The game will be shown live across the country in all Sportsnet regions with a 2:00pm Eastern Time puck-drop for Sportsnet Ontario and Sportsnet East viewers. The game will be shown at 12:00pm Mountain Time for Sportsnet West viewers, and 11:00am Pacific Time for viewers in the Sportsnet Pacific region.

Game three of the series will feature Brampton Battalion stars such as Cody Hodgson, Matt Duchene, Evegeny Grachev, and goaltender Thomas McCollum. Hodgson played for Team Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championships and finished fourth in OHL scoring with 92 points. Grachev won a bronze medal for Team Russia and the World Juniors and McCollum played between the pipes for Team USA. Duchene competed at the 2009 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game and is eligible for the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

The Majors feature one of the league’s top defenceman Cameron Gaunce, a second round pick of the Colorado Avalanche at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft who registered 64 points this season. They also feature young stars such as rookie forward Devante Smith-Pelly and goaltender J.P Anderson who each helped Team Ontario capture gold at the 2009 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. Forward Michael Pelech led the team in scoring with 65 points and head coach Dave Cameron served as an assistant for Canada at the World Junior Championships.
