The 2009 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game took place January 14, 2009 in Oshawa, Ontario, with Team Orr claiming a 6-1 win over Team Cherry. The auction offers 34 game-worn jerseys and one game-issued jersey from the game that featured the top young talents in the CHL that will be selected at the upcoming 2009 NHL Entry Draft. The collection of jerseys includes those worn by Team Orr MVP Cody Eakin of the WHL’s Swift Current Broncos and Team Cherry MVP and top-ranked goalie Edward Pasquale from the OHL’s Saginaw Spirit. Other players with jerseys for bid include prospects Nazem Kadri of the London Knights (jersey pictured), Peter Holland (Guelph Storm), Carter Ashton (Lethbridge Hurricanes), Dmitry Kulikov (Drummondville Voltigeurs), Scott Glennie (Brandon Wheat Kings), and Philippe Paradis (Shawinigan Cataractes).

Now in the second year of the partnership with the CHL, MeiGray, which also authenticates jerseys for the NHL, AHL and ECHL, will be using its trademark authentication system. This is the industry-accepted system that security tags and individually numbers every jersey available through the CHL-MGG partnership. They have sold more than 25,000 hockey jerseys across the globe.
