CHL announces Real Canadian Superstore Jersey Design contest freeview schedule on CHL TV
Since the Jersey Design contest was first introduced during the 2020-21 season, the CHL and Real Canadian Superstore have raised over $375,000 for President’s Choice Children’s Charity
As part of a partnership with Real Canadian Superstore, the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) is proud to announce that all 25 game nights dedicated to the Jersey Design contest will be available to fans as a ‘freeview’ on CHL TV starting on Sunday, January 28 (see full schedule below).
Now in its third iteration, the CHL Jersey Contest provides fans aged 16 or younger in 25 participating Western Hockey League (WHL) and Ontario Hockey League (OHL) markets with an opportunity to create a unique jersey design for their favourite CHL team and to see it worn by that club. In addition to enjoying a VIP experience for them and their family on a game night, each contest winner in the 25 participating markets will receive a team autographed jersey of their design as a keepsake.
With the entry period for the contest now closed and the winners having been selected in November, the jerseys are now in the process of being produced and the winning design for each participating club will be revealed during that team’s dedicated game night. Moreover, once the jerseys are worn by the club on their dedicated game night, they will be auctioned off with all the proceeds going to President’s Choice Children’s Charity.
Since the program first started back in March 2021, the CHL and Real Canadian Superstore have raised over $375,000 for President’s Choice Children’s Charity, which is an independent, registered Canadian charity, whose dual purpose is to remove hunger as a barrier to a happy life and to educate children about food and nutrition.
This season, the CHL clubs participating in this program include: the Barrie Colts, Brandon Wheat Kings, Brantford Bulldogs, Calgary Hitmen, Edmonton Oil Kings, Kamloops Blazers, Kitchener Rangers, Lethbridge Hurricanes, London Knights, Medicine Hat Tigers, Mississauga Steelheads, Moose Jaw Warriors, Niagara IceDogs, Oshawa Generals, Ottawa 67’s, Peterborough Petes, Prince Albert Raiders, Prince George Cougars, Red Deer Rebels, Regina Pats, Saskatoon Blades, Sarnia Sting, Sudbury Wolves, Victoria Royals and Windsor Spitfires.
In order to gain access to these free regular-season games on CHL TV, fans simply need to either log in or create a free account on CHL TV. CHL TV is accessible on the CHL mobile app, in addition to Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire, and online at watch.chl.ca. Fans can download the free CHL app via the App Store and Google Play.
