OIL KINGS OUTSHOOT WINTERHAWKS 49-29 IN BLOWOUT WIN
Kole Gable netted two goals as the Edmonton Oil Kings clipped the Portland Winterhawks 5-1 on Wednesday night. Oil Kings netminders Patrick Dea made 28 saves in the win. Edmonton went 2/5 on the power play and held Portland scoreless in two power play chances.

ROCKETS 6, SILVERTIPS 5 (OT)
Justin Kirkland scored his 25th goal of the season as the Kelowna Rockets survived to beat the Everett Silvertips 6-5 in overtime. The Kelowna Rockets held a 5-1 lead through two periods of play, including two goals from forward Calvin Thurkauf before the Silvertips came storming back. Everett scored four times in the third period capped off with a short-handed goal by Connor Dewar that tied the game and forced overtime.

WHEAT KINGS 4, ICE 2
The Brandon Wheat Kings dominated the Kootenay ICE as they outshot them by a large 40-15 margin en route to the 4-2 road win. Jayce Hawryluk recorded another multiple point outing with two assists.

PATS 9, HURRICANES 8 (SO)
The Regina Pats came out on top in what was a wild contest with the Lethbridge Hurricanes in a 9-8 decision via shootout. The Pats scored the opening three goals in the first period and finished with five in the frame while Lethbridge tacked three on the board. Lane Zablocki netted a hat-trick for the Pats with his third goal of the game coming at the 17:02 mark of the final period to force overtime. Hurricanes forward Colton Kroeker collected a hat-trick of his own and two assists to cap off a five point night while team captain Tyler Wong recorded six points (2g-4a) in an impressive performance.

BRONCOS 2, RAIDERS 3 (OT)
Reid Gardiner was the hero for the Prince Albert Raiders as he knocked in the overtime winner to buckle the Swift Current Broncos 3-2. Raiders forward Jordan Tkatch registered two points (1g-1a) to go along with a plus-2 rating to take home third star honours. Broncos forward Tyler Steenbergen scored both goals for Swift Current in a losing cause.

Lasse Petersen turned aside all 30 shots he faced to guide the Spokane Chiefs to a 1-0 shutout win over the Prince George Cougars. For Petersen, the shutout marked his second of the season which earned him first star honours.
