HITMEN CLIP WINTERHAWKS, ONLY ONE POINT OUT OF SECOND PLACE IN CENTRAL DIVISION
Radel Fazleev recorded three points (1g-2a) and a plus-4 rating to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a big 6-2 victory over the Portland Winterhawks. Hitmen goaltender Nik Amundrud turned aside 31 shots to claim first star honours. Portland netted both of their goals on the power play and finished 2/8 on their opportunities while Calgary went 1/3.

The Regina Pats won their sixth straight after edging the Medicine Hat Tigers by a score of 5-4 in a shootout.
