HILL BLANKS WHEAT KINGS WITH 45 SAVE EFFORT IN WINTERHAWKS WIN
Adin Hill did everything for the Brandon Wheat Kings as he stopped 45 shots to shutout the Brandon Wheat Kings by a score of 5-0 and earn his second shutout in three games. Winterhawks forward Dominic Turgeon netted a pair of goals and added an assist to claim second star honours. Portland enjoyed success on special teams going 2-2 on the power play while holding Brandon scoreless in six man advantages. The Wheat Kings outshot the Winterhawks 45-26 in the loss.

RAIDERS 2, PATS 1 (OT)
Jesse Lees and the Prince Albert Raiders escaped the Regina Pats with a 2-1 victory in overtime. Lees buried his fifth goal of the season at the 2:42 mark of overtime to secure the win. Raiders goaltender Ian Scott was productive by stopping 38 of 39 Pats shots to secure the win.

Ty Edmonds had a busy night with a 40 save effort to give the Prince George Cougars a 3-1 win against the Vancouver Giants. Edmonds effort saw him claim first star honours while forwards Jesse Gabrielle and Brogan O’Brien each netted a goal and an assist. Vancouver has now dropped three straight contests.
