HURRICANES EXTEND WIN STREAK TO SEVEN STRAIGHT
Giorgio Estephan scored the overtime winner as the Lethbridge Hurricanes prevailed 3-2 over the Prince Albert Raiders. Hurricanes forward Cory Millette netted a pair of goals to help Lethbridge extend their winning streak to seven in a row. Raiders forward Parker Kelly notched a goal and an assist to claim second star honours in a losing cause.

The Prince George Cougars scored three times in the third period to erase a 4-3 deficit and beat the Vancouver Giants 6-4. Cougars forward Brad Morrison recorded a hat-trick to claim first star honours in a terrific performance. Prince George took advantage of the power play scoring three times in five opportunities while Vancouver finished 2/8 on the power play.

The Tri-City Americans topped the Regina Pats by a score of 5-4 in what was marathon shootout. Americans defenceman Brandon Carlo scored the lone goal in the 10th round of the shootout to seal the victory. Rykr Cole registered two points (1g-1a) in a losing cause.

Jon Martin scored both goals for the Swift Current Broncos in their 2-1 victory over the Red Deer Rebels. Taz Burman was solid as he was named the game’s first star for Swift Current after making 38 saves. The Rebels outshot the Broncos by a commanding 39-16 margin.

Zach Sawchenko was solid as he turned aside 46 shots to propel the Moose Jaw Warriors to a 4-1 win against the Brando Wheat Kings. Moose Jaw has collected points in five straight contests going 4-0-1-0 over that stretch.
