ICE SHUTOUT WHL’S TOP OFFENCE, BLANK HURRICANES 2-0
The Kootenay ICE pulled off a stunner as they blanked the Lethbridge Hurricanes 2-0. Wyaff Hoflin was solid as he stopped all 31 shots he faced to take home first star honours while Matt Alfaro registered a goal and an assists to lead the offence.

SILVERTIPS 4, THUNDERBIRDS 1
Carter Hart was solid as he turned aside 23 shots to lift the Everett Silvertips to a 4-1 road win against the Seattle Thunderbirds. Forwards Carson Stadnyk and Graham Millar each buried two goals to provide all the scoring for Everett. With the win, Everett has extended their U.S. Division lead to a nine point margin.

Michael Spacek scored twice, including the overtime winner for the Red Deer Rebels who took a 4-3 decsion over the Moose Jaw Warriors. Dryden Hunt notched a hat-trick for the Warriors in a losing cause. Red Deer outshot Moose Jaw 30-10 through the first two periods of play and finished with the 46-24 edge in total shots

Nolan Patrick netted a pair of goals as the Brandon Wheat Kings tripled up the Medicine Hat Tigers 6-2. Wheat Kings forward Tim McGauley recorded three points (1g-2a) to claim second star honours. Brandon outshot Medicine Hat 49-30 to collect their third straight win.

Justin Kirkland scored the shootout winner to propel the Kelowna Rockets to a 3-2 victory over the Calgary Hitmen. Rockets forward Tyson Baillie scored his 30th goal of the season with less than a minute remaining in the third period to force overtime.

Patrick Dea picked up his first career shutout as he turned aside 24 shots to guide the Edmonton Oil Kings to a 4-0 win over the Kamloops Blazers. Oil Kings defenceman Ben Carroll scored a power play marker and a short-handed tally in the third period to put the game out of reach. Edmonton went ½ on the power play and held Kamloops scoreless in five power play opportunities.

The Swift Current Broncos skated to a 4-1 win over the Saskatoon Blades as four different skaters found the back of the net in what was a balanced attack. Broncos goaltender was named the game’s first star after putting in a 39 save performance.
