ROYALS KEEP ON CRUSING AS THEY CRUSH OIL KINGS 6-1
Tyler Soy recorded four points (1g-3a) to lead the Victoria Royals to a dominant 6-1 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings on Hockey Hooky Day. Royals forward Jack Walker chipped in with a pair of goals while Coleman Vollrath turned aside 24 shots in the win. Victoria was productive on special teams as they went 2/5 on the power play and held Edmonton scoreless in two power play opportunities.

REBELS 2, PATS 1
The Red Deer Rebels scored two goals in the opening frame and that proved to be enough in a 2-1 win over the Regina Pats. Trevor Martin was solid as he stopped 27 of 28 shots and was one second away from earning a shutout before Sam Steel notched his 22nd goal of the season on a late Pats power play.
