FIVE GOAL OUTBURST IN SECOND PERIOD LIFTS RAIDERS TO 7-1 VICTORY
The Prince Albert Raiders exploded for five goals in the second period and went on to crush the Kootenay ICE by a score of 7-1. Raiders forward Jordan Tkatch lit the lamp three times to register a hat-trick and he earned a stellar plus-5 rating to claim first star honours. Goaltender Rylan Parenteau turned aside 29 shots to post his 23rd victory of the season.

HURRICANES 10, BLADES 3
Egor Babenko notched a hat-trick to lead the Lethbridge Hurricanes to a huge 10-3 victory over the Saskatoon Blades. Seven other Hurricanes skaters found the back of the net as they earned their third straight win. Blades forward Connor Gay recorded two goals for Saskatoon in a losing cause.

WARRIORS 3, WHEAT KINGS 6
The Brandon Wheat Kings scored four unanswered goals in the final frame to double up the Moose Jaw Warriors 6-3. Wheat Kings forward Jayce Hawryluk recorded three points (1g-2a) as Brandon dominated the shots on goal 57-23. Brandon took advantage of the power play as they finished 2/4 and Moose Jaw scored once on two power play opportunities.

Jon Martin was the hero for the Swift Current Broncos as his shootout marker gave his Club a 3-2 road win against the Regina Pats. Martin also registered his 37th goal of the season on a Broncos power play early in the third period of play to tie the game at two goals apiece. Pats captain Adam Brooks tallied his 35th goal on the campaign to extend his WHL leading point total to 108.

HITMEN 2, REBELS 3
Jake DeBrusk scored the lone goal in the third period to lift the Red Deer Rebels to a 3-2 edge over the Calgary Hitmen. Rebels forward Adam Helewka netted two goals in the first period to give him a total of 36 on the season. Hitmen forward Carsen Twarynski registered a goal and an assist in a losing effort.

Despite being outshot 37-23, the Medicine Hat Tigers escaped with a 5-4 victory over the Edmonton Oil Kings. Max Gerlach and Matt Bradley each scored a goal in the final couple minutes of regulation to quickly give the Tigers a 5-4 lead after trailing 4-3. Oil Kings forward Colton Kehler scored twice to earn second star mentions in a strong losing cause.

The Portland Winterhawks defeated the Tri-City Americans 5-3 on Friday night. Defenceman Blake Heinrich scored twice and added an assist to go along with a plus-4 rating in a strong performance that saw him earn first star honours. Winterhawks forward Rodrigo Abols was a play-maker on the ice with three helpers.

CHIEFS 3, COUGARS 2
The Spokane Chiefs earned two points and continue to hang on to the last playoff spot in the Western Conference after beating the Prince George Cougars 3-2. Chiefs goaltender Lasse Petersen backstopped 28 shots to post his seventh win of the season. Jesse Gabrielle buried his 40th goal of the year for Prince George on a short-handed rush in the middle frame.

ROCKETS 2, BLAZERS 3
Connor Ingram was outstanding for the Kamloops Blazers as he turned aside 53 shots to take home first star honours in the Blazers 3-2 nod over the Kelowna Rockets. Garrett Pilon scored an insurance marker late in the second period and it stood as the game winner. Kelowna outshot Kamloops by a wide 55-24 margin in the loss.

ROYALS 5, GIANTS 1
Dante Hannoun recorded a natural hat-trick to propel the Victoria Royals to a big 5-1 win over the Vancouver Giants. Jack Walker chipped in with a goal and two assists to cap off a three point night. The Victoria Royals extend their current point streak to eight straight, going 7-0-1-0 over that time frame.

THUNDERBIRDS 2, SILVERTIPS 1 (SO)
Nolan Volcan ended a lengthy shootout as he scored in the seventh round of a shootout to guide the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 2-1 win over the Everett Silvertips. Thunderbirds netminder Landon Bow was productive with 40 saves while Carter Hart made 26 stops for Everett. With the victory, Seattle and Everett now sit tied for first place in the U.S. Division standings with 79 points each.
