POGGE SHUTS DOOR ON REBELS – Justin Pogge (pictured) stopped all 13 shots he faced for his second straight shutout as the Calgary Hitmen skated to a 4-0 win over the visiting Red Deer Rebels in the lone Western Hockey League contest on Sunday, October 9th.

rRyan White paced the Hitmen offense with a goal – the game-winner – and an assist while Keegan Dansereau, Brett Carson and Alex Plante – with his first WHL tally – also scored in the victory. The win – Calgary’s sixth straight to start the season – improves the team to 6-0-0-0 and leaves them atop the Central Division and first overall in the league.

rAndrew Leslie was busy for the Rebels, turning in a 37-save performance in the defeat. The loss – their second straight – leaves the Rebels at 3-6-0-0 and keeps them third in the Central Division.
