rFEHR AND BRIDGES SET MARKS
r
r
rWith his hat trick in Sunday’s win over Regina, Brandon forward Eric Fehr has reached the 50-goal mark for the second consecutive season.
r
rFehr, who now has a league-leading 51 goals, becomes the first Wheat King to record back-to-back 50-goal campaigns in over 20 years. The last Wheat King to accomplish the feat was Kelly Glowa, who scored 59 and 71 goals respectively in the 1981-82 and 1982-83 seasons.
r
rFehr is also tying to become the first Wheat King to lead the league in scoring since Ray Ferraro won the league’s scoring derby with 108 goals and 192 points in the 1983-84 season.
r
rFehr (51g-40a-91p) currently has an eight-point lead over teammate Ryan Stone in this season’s scoring race.
r
rMeanwhile, Seattle’s Bryan Bridges posted his 10th shutout of the season in Sunday’s 3-0 win over the Spokane Chiefs.
r
rHis 10 shutouts not only ties him for the league lead with Everett’s Mike Wall, but moves him into a tie with Wall and Chris Worthy of the 1967-68 Flin Flon Bombers for second for the most shutouts by a goaltender in a single season.
r
rKelly Guard holds the single-season record of 13, which he set last season with the Kelowna Rockets.
