Adding to Kamloops’ success on Friday night against the Tri-City Americans was Blazers’ defenceman Quinn Schmiemann who notched his first career WHL goal, 14:51 into the second period. After a Blazers’ shot whistled past the net and swung up the boards to Schmiemann, he stepped in to take a long shot just inside the blue line, which zipped past the Americans goaltender.

In a tough game against the Prince Albert Raiders, Michael Milne provided a bright spot for the Kootenay ICE. With 10 minutes remaining in the third, the rookie forward scored the lone goal for Kootenay that night. A bomb from the blue line by teammate Nolan Orzeck gave Milne the opportunity to tip the puck in, earning his first career WHL goal and point.
Congrats to ICE forward @michaelmilne02 who scored his first WHL goal tonight.#OurICE pic.twitter.com/Kklpo2to3M
