WHL and SHAW Announce 2006-07 Television Broadcast Schedule
CHILLIWACK, BC – The Western Hockey League, and Shaw Cablesystems today announced that Shaw will broadcast 26 WHL contests on the full cable network in Western Canada during the 2006-07 WHL regular season as well as providing extensive coverage of the 2007 WHL Playoffs. Shaw has served as the official cable broadcaster of the Western Hockey League for the past two seasons.

rThe 2006-07 WHL on Shaw television broadcast schedule begins Thursday, September 21st with a special opening night game from Prospera Center in Chilliwack as Shaw presents the WHL’s new expansion franchise the Chilliwack Bruins taking on the Kelowna Rockets.

rThe WHL on Shaw television schedule will feature Friday Night Hockey WHL Game of the Week with 17 of the 26 broadcasts falling on a Friday night during the regular season.

rThe WHL on Shaw Television schedule will feature expanded coverage during the 2006-07 season as all games will be televised across Western Canada on the full Shaw Cable Network.
