WEBER NAMED GREYHOUND WHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – PLAYOFF EDITION
Calgary – The Greyhound WHL Player of the Week is Defenceman Shea Weber of the Kelowna Rockets. Weber earned player of the week honours by recording three goals and five points, including a game-winning goal during the first two games of the Kal Tire WHL’s Western Conference Championship series against the Kootenay Ice. The best-of-seven series is tied 1-1.

rGame 3 of the Series goes Tuesday, April 26th in Kelowna. Game Time is 7:00 PM, Live on SHAW TV.

rOn Friday, April 22nd, Weber scored two goals, including the game-winning goal, and added an assist in a 4-2 road victory against the Kootenay Ice in Game 1. On Saturday, April 23rd, Weber recorded a goal and an assist in a 3-2 loss in Cranbrook to the Ice in Game 2.

rWeber, a 19-year-old from Sicamous, British Columbia, was drafted in the 2nd round, 49th overall by the Nashville Predators in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
