WARRIORS HOST BLADES, LIVE ON SHAW

CALGARY, AB – Dryden Hunt and the Moose Jaw Warriors welcome Cameron Hebig and the Saskatoon Blades in a battle between East Division rivals, live on SHAW and Shaw HD channel 304 at (7:00pm CT/6:00pm MT). 

The Moose Jaw Warriors have hit a bit of a bump on the road having only collected wins in four of their past 10 games after a terrific start to the 2015-16 campaign. Moose Jaw now sits third in the East Division with 31 points, but only trail the Prince Albert Raiders by four points for first place in the division standings. Warriors forward Dryden Hunt sits first in goal scoring with 19 and second only to teammate Brayden Point in Club scoring with 40 points (19g-21a). Special teams continues to be a major factor into the Warriors success as their power play ranks fourth-best amongst all WHL Clubs with a 23.9% efficiency rate while the penalty-kill play remains consistent with an 82.4% conversion rate, good enough for seventh-best.

Cameron Hebig leads a Saskatoon Blades squad that has dropped two consecutive contests and have posted a 3-7-0-0 record over their past 10 games. The Blades look to reverse that trend and climb back into playoff conversation as they enter the match-up on the outside looking in, sitting ninth in the Eastern Conference standings. Hebig leads all Blades scorers in goals with 11 and points with 28 in what has been a productive season for the third year player. The penalty-kill remains a strong point for Saskatoon as they rank fourth overall amongst WHL Clubs with an 82.9% conversion rate.
 
Moose Jaw and Saskatoon have met in one prior meeting this season with the Warriors coming out on top 7-4 over the Blades in Saskatoon on November 6, 2015. Warriors forward Noah Gregor recorded four points (1g-3a) while Blades forward Nick Zajac notched three points (1g-2a) in the match-up.
