WARD NAMED HUSKY WHL PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Calgary – The Western Hockey League today announced that goaltender Cam Ward of the Red Deer Rebels has been named the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for March.

rThe native of Sherwood Park, Alberta, was unbeaten in March recording four wins and a tie during the month.
r
rWard recorded an impressive goals against average of 0.98, a .966 save percentage and allowed only five goals on 146 shots in 245 minutes played.
r
rHis stellar netminding in March was instrumental in the Rebels clinching second place in the competitive Central Division.
r
rWard was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in the first round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
r
rHis accomplishments make Cam Ward a deserving choice as the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for March.
