Moose Jaw Warriors add Brkin to roster
Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar has announced the addition of 20-year-old free agent goaltender Bailey Brkin to the team’s roster.
The 6-foot-2, 172-pound Brkin, is from Sherwood Park, Alta. and spent last year with the Spokane Chiefs. In 45 games, he had a 27-11-1-2 record, 2.75 goals-against average, a .914 save percentage, and two shutouts. Brkin played in 15 games in the 2019 WHL Playoffs and posted a 9-5-1 record with a 2.55 GAA and a .922 SV%.
Brkin has appeared in 76 WHL regular season games for his career with the Swift Current Broncos, Kootenay ICE, and Chiefs, Brkin has posted a record of 38-26-3-2 with a 3.33 GAA, .899 SV% and three shutouts.
For his WHL Playoffs career, Brkin has played in 18 games, posting a 10-6-1 record while maintaining a 2.73 GAA as well as a .917 SV%.
In addition, the Warriors have assigned 16-year-old goaltender Brett Mirwald to the Saskatoon Blazers.
