WHL Job Opportunity: Manager, Education Services

The Western Hockey League (WHL), one of the world’s finest development leagues for junior hockey players with 22 Member Clubs throughout Western Canada and the U.S. Pacific Northwest, is inviting applications for the position of Manager, Education Services at the WHL Office based in Calgary, Alberta. Since 1993-94, the WHL Scholarship and Education Program has established itself as the most comprehensive academic support program for amateur hockey players in North America.
The WHL Manager, Education Services will be responsible to oversee the entire WHL Education Program, including the administration of the WHL Scholarship program; ensuring all WHL Clubs follow the League’s Education Policies and Standards; monitor the academic progress of all current WHL players; liaison with post-secondary institutions across North America; manage and administer the annual WHL career counselling program.
Candidates for the position should have previous experience in the education system and/or counselling services. In addition, candidates should be highly motivated, possess strong administrative and inter-personnel skills. Candidates should also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience in a related field or industry with a post-secondary degree will also be considered an asset.
