Tyler Dittmer Named CHL Player of the Week
Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Brandon Wheat Kings forward Tyler Dittmer is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending October 7, 2007. Dittmer recorded five goals and two assists for seven points in two games.

rOn Saturday, October 6th, at the Enmax Centre in Lethbridge, Dittmer recorded a Hat Trick to lead the Wheat Kings to a 5-2 victory over the Hurricanes. The following afternoon on Sunday, October 7th, Dittmer registered two goals and two assists for four points in the
rWheat Kings 4-3 win over the home Team Kootenay Ice.

rThe two weekend road victories pushed the Wheat Kings within one point of the Swift Current Broncos for first place in the Western Hockey League East Division, with two games in hand.

rDittmer, a 20-year-old native of Brandon, MB is in his third full season playing for the Wheat Kings.

rDustin Jeffrey of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds was the Ontario Hockey League nominee after recording three goals and six assists for nine points in three games. Francis Pare of the Chicoutimi Sagueneens was the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League nominee after registering three goals and four assists for seven points in three games.
