The Western Hockey League today announced two player suspensions and several fines.

Denis Sergeev of the Calgary Hitmen has been suspended for two games for receiving a major and game misconduct for elbowing at Swift Current on February 4th. He has served one game of the suspension and has one game remaining.

Richard Kromm, head coach of the Calgary Hitmen has been fined $250.00 for receiving a game misconduct at Swift Current on February 4th.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes and Medicine Hat Tigers have each been fined $250.00 for a multiple fight situation at Medicine Hat on February 5th. The Lethbridge Hurricanes have been fined a further $250.00 for being involved in several multiple fight situations this season.

Wes Rypien of the Calgary Hitmen has been suspended for one game for receiving his third game misconduct of the season versus the Lethbridge Hurricanes on February 6th.
