This Week in WHL History:
- Seattle Thunderbirds forward Glenn Goodall recorded his 262nd career goal on Mar. 18, 1990 to become the current all-time goal scoring leader in WHL history
- Josh Holden scored the winner in quadruple overtime to lift the Regina Pats to a 3-2 victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Mar. 21, 1996; it stands as the third longest game in WHL history at 122 minutes and 46 seconds
- On Mar. 23, 1979, the Brandon Wheat Kings downed the Regina Pats 9-3; Brandon picked up their 125th point of the season which is the WHL record for most points in a season
