Team WHL Tops Russian Selects in 2007 ADT Canada-Russia Challenge Finale
Medicine Hat, AB – Calgary Hitmen forward Ryan White broke a 1-1 tie only 33 seconds into the third period to pace Team WHL to a 4-1 victory over the Russian Selects in the final game of the 2007 ADT Canada-Russia Challenge on Thursday, November 29th in Medicine Hat, AB.

rWith Team WHL’s victory, the Canadian Hockey League claims a 4-2 series win over the Russian Selects in the six-game ADT Canada Russia Challenge. The win also improves Team WHL to 9-1 in 10 meetings versus the Russian Selects through the ADT Canada-Russia Challenge’s five-year history.

rMedicine Hat Tigers forward Brennan Bosch, Seattle’s Bud Holloway and Regina’s Jordan Eberle also scored for Team WHL, who exact some revenge on the Russian Selects after losing 5-1 to Russia on Wednesday night in Cranbrook, B.C.

rMikhail Milekhin – with the game’s opening score – scored the only goal for the Russian Selects, who finish the series with two wins, three defeats and a shootout setback.

rEverett Silvertips’ netminder Leland Irving turned aside 19 of 20 shots he faced to backstop Team WHL to the win. Sergey Gayduchenko stopped 24 of 28 shots for the Russian Selects in the defeat.
