SUMNER TO MISS T-BIRDS HOME OPENER
Visa problems keep Seattle head coach in Canada – Seattle, September 30, 2005 – Seattle Thunderbirds General Manager Russ Farwell today announced that Head Coach Rob Sumner will not be behind the bench for the T-Birds home opener against the Kamloops Blazers on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. at KeyArena.

râThis year we have run into an unforeseen snag in the visa process. We are working diligently on getting Rob a visa and want to have him back coaching as soon as possible, but we must wait for the application process to run its course. We hope to have this situation resolved very soon,â? said Farwell.

rThe T-Birds (1-2-0-0) opened the season on the road with two games in Prince George and one game in Kamloops.
