Silvertips Acquire Gutierrez from Blazers
EVERETT, WA – The 2005-2006 US Division Champions, Everett Silvertips have acquired 20 year old forward Moises Gutierrez from the Kamloops Blazers on Friday afternoon. In return, the Silvertips trade a 2007 4th Round Bantam Pick to the Blazers.

rGutierrez posted 15 goals and added 14 assists for 29 points in 61 games last season for the Kamloops Blazers. The Anchorage, Alaska native also finished the 2005-2006 season with a +/- rating of +11 which led the Blazers hockey club. The 6’3″, 215 pound forward played a total of 265 regular season games with the Blazers since the 2002-2003 campaign. During the 2004-2005 regular season, Gutierrez added 9 goals and 20 assists for 29 points.

rIn the summer of 2004, Moises was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 6th Round (164th Overall) at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
