Repik Signs with Panthers

The Vancouver Giants congratulate forward Michal Repik on signing his first National Hockey League Entry Level Contract with the Florida Panthers. Terms of the contract were not released.

rRepik is coming off his second campaign with the Giants. In 56 games this past season, the native of Vlasim, Czech Republic had 24 goals and 31 assists. During the playoffs, Repik led the club and WHL in scoring with 10 goals and 16 assists. In the Memorial Cup tournament, Repik led all players in scoring with three goals and four assists and was the recipient of the Ed Chynoweth Top Scorer Trophy.

rLast month, Repik was selected by Florida in the second round of the NHL Entry Draft(40th overall). In addition to his on-ice success with the Giants, Repik also represented his country at the World Junior Championships last winter.
