Red Deer Rebels Deal Tanner Gillies To Tri-Cites

RED DEER, AB – The Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club announced today that they have traded forward Tanner Gillies to the Tri-City Americans for a conditional 7th round pick in the 2008 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.

rGillies, a 6-foot-3, 208-pound native of Moose Jaw, SK, had played two seasons with the Rebels, picking up 11 goals and 9 assists in 126 regular season games.

rSince Friday, the Rebels have three players from last season change teams. Ken Petkau was selected by the Chilliwack Bruins in the WHL Expansion Draft and Jonathon Smith was traded to the Tri-City Americans.
